Messages Reveal the late financier and former Trump strategist Relationship

Bannon served as Trump's closest strategists before stepping down from the administration in 2017

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump's chief strategist, was in the UK preparing for a address at the Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by hundreds of demonstrators, and Bannon, scheduled to travel that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters delayed speech I doubt I can catch the flight we are heading to heathrow".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a Gulf Air departing at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing assistant".

These exchanges were published on this week together with more than 20,000 pages from the records of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The release by the House oversight committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's identity is withheld. Media outlets managed to confirm his identity by cross-referencing the timeline, events, and places mentioned.

For instance, Epstein discusses chartering a jet from Scotland for the redacted user in the chat, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon took part in the Edinburgh conference on November 14, and delivered the talk at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the request for comment.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon was one of the president's key aides in the lead-up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his presidency, but resigned from the administration in August 2017.

He has acknowledged he was making a film about Epstein prior to his death and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a recording of his show earlier this year, he stated: "We're going to publish the film, the five-part series, next year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed documents indicate Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile at times seeming to act like a aide.

A few days before the exchange in which Epstein seemed to arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid booking agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "U r quite capable assistant", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you're taken care of."

British Affairs Mentioned in Messages

The published messages also show Bannon and Epstein talking about UK politics in 2018.

On the same day his speech at the Oxford Union, Bannon texted Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the Brexit issue this morning with Nigel, Johnson and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a allusion to the UK prime minister, the struggling UK prime minister at the period, he continued: "The guys are trying to proceed. May soon…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think staying as much as you can uk. Ideal- so people get the dedication of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa may remain in power". Bannon replied: "It seems unlikely BUT the guys over here have little courage" and noted "Johnson ; Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to take charge".

May was finally removed in May 2019 after surviving multiple attempts of lack of support in December 2018.

A spokesman for the political party informed the BBC: "Nigel Farage has never been in a meeting with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest such a meeting took place.

The US House of Representatives will decide soon on whether the justice department should release all its records related to its probe into Epstein, who died in jail in 2019.

Attention in Epstein's associations with powerful figures was renewed this week after the publication of over 20,000 documents from his archives.

Some of those referenced the former president, who has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but claims they parted ways in the 2000s, two years before Epstein was first arrested.
