La Petite Maison's Cocktail – How to Make It
We present a simplified version of a cocktail from a new menu. It's a batch premix that's bursting with the tastes associated with Christmas time, which makes it excellent for your holiday party. Reserve the remaining cordial to use in morning drinks, puddings, or to mix additional servings of the drink.

200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g fine sugar
To make the Premix (yields 850ml, serving 10)

200ml clementine syrup (see above)

Instructions
For the Cordial: Combine all the items inside a pot, bring to a light boil, agitating so the sugar melts. Then, remove from the burner allowing it to reach room temperature entirely. Decant to a clean bottle, cap it and refrigerate it chilled, it will last for around one month.
Preparing the Premix: Combine the specified liquids into one sizeable container, leave to sit for one hour, then filter it best through cheesecloth, so it's completely strained.
When ready to serve: Measure 85ml of your cocktail base into a mixing glass containing ice, and stir lightly for one minute to chill. Filter into a chilled martini glass or a similar vessel, garnish with some cranberries and complete it by giving it a light spray of the essential oil above the glass.
